This Unmarked Grave in Brooke Cemetery Holds a Sad Story

The young girl in this unmarked grave at Brooke Cemetery led a short, sad life on Water Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Her death was mysterious and ugly, but listed as a suicide.  At least she’s blessed with a beautiful view from her final resting place.  Read Mae’s short, short story in the upcoming book, Mobsters, Madams and Murder in Steubenville, Ohio (The Story of Little Chicago), by Susan M. The man buried in this unmarked grave plot wasn’t famous and he didn’t do anything remarkable in his lifetime; but the moment they started throwing the dirt on his coffin, something happened that made his funeral front-page news in the Steubenville Herald-Star.  Find out what happened in my book, Mobsters, Madams and Murder in Steubenville, Ohio.
